It saddens me to do this review, as it's the last thing I wanted to experience at Glacier. This hotel was filthy (dug in grime on the bathroom floor, who knows what was in the carpet, etc), has no elevator, the back stairs were worn out and did not meet ADA standards. I could go on and on. The staff were all nice, and the food was decent. If this lodge is to keep going, it needs someone on board to start an overhaul in motion.

Clean, but a tiny and quite dated room, in a good location but only 1 small window that could be opened and as a result, uncomfortable and stuffy. It could be improved without unreasonable remodel despite the age by fixing the windows and rewiring. Hats off to the cleaning crew as it was clean. Outlets seemed dangerously loose. The provided fan could neither reach the window nor fit in the window.

The location is really nice. That is about the only good thing this place has going for it. The front motel rooms are extremely loud. If you are a light sleeper I would never stay in these rooms. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever spelt in. They are really hard. We ended up going to the outfitter down the road and renting sleeping pads to be able to sleep on them. I would only stay here if you are on a budget and like hard beds. The room was also really hot as there is only one window that opens in the back and there is no wind flow there. Lastly the showers are extremely tiny and short. At 6 foot tall I had to do walk sits to get my head under the water. It was the worst shower I have ever taken.

We have stayed her twice and have loved it. The inn is so charming and retro, but of course, the best part is the view and access to Lake McDonald. We had a room with a kitchenette and it had everything we needed.

The motel and cabins are a few steps away from the lake, so the location is amazing. The cabin was a nice size, but the kitchen was huge while the bathroom and shower stall were tiny. The cabin got a bit chilly, but there is a heater. The hot water worked well. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our cabin. It had all the basics, everything we needed. Quiet. Staff very helpful. Great location. Shower is very small and that may be a problem for some people.

We had cabin #4 which was small and cold at night. The bathroom was very tight, almost unusable. I would probably stay at a different hotel next time. The village itself is a terrific location and would recommend it.
